I'm going to share my opinion of my vote in there.

I voted for the new features added, while I'm participating on a Total conversion style mod, I known that those take a LONG time to be playable by the community, and even if it will be enjoyable to play when released, if all others did Total Conversions, there wouldn't have been a ton of mods to test and play in the meantime.

I didn't voted balance patch, because even if the idea is right per se, I think that most modmakers have that aspect already covered on their project (trying to balance it).

Drop mods while enjoyable to find finally the items you were supposed to find on a fair world (not blizzard) are esentially the same game, they just try to minimize the grind aspect of the game.

So, after X years playing an old game, what is what players expect to find? Some changes that call their attention about the "new rules" on the game, that it tells the difference from the old game they already known better than the palm of his hand (long time forgotten since its always over the mouse)

So, changing monsters missiles, items buyable, skills (especially in the start) will make players whonder what had changed and make them curious enough to see what your mod can offer them.

That's my opinion. Have a nice day!

I'm voting for Total Conversion.

I love new Features in D2, but when they're too much this is mostly like a total Conversion.

A few of my Favourite mods are:
Kingdom of Tenai;Median 2008 (Not MXL);Back to Hellfire;Horde of Chaos; ;)

Balance is also an important part of every mod I thing...Without balance you'll be unable to kill a single monster in act, or you'll be able to kill hell baal in a second.

I understand that Total Conversions might take a very long time to create. But I feel that what you get out is proportional to the amount the modmakers put in, and that's why Total Conversions are the best.
