 Post subject: Suggestions for weapon automods

What are some good automods to put on weapons to make them more unique and useful to their type. Having some trouble trying to think of ways to make each weapon more useful or have a certain ability that is suited to it's type, like higher critical's with axes and hammers or a pierce like ability for spears and knifes, can't think of many others for like polearms vs spears or swords vs dagger you know........my creativity could use some work or maybe a break from modding to clear my mind hehehehe.

open wounds on swords maybe, a small amount of crushing blow on mauls, deadly strike on axes?

Some random ideas:

Mace -> Extra damage against undead
Axe -> Critical Strike
Sword -> Open Wounds

Katar -> Poison damage
Dagger -> Poison damage and even faster attack speed

Scythe -> Open wounds Area Damage
Spear/Pike -> Ignore's some of target Armor class
Polearms -> Crushing wounds and critical chance

Javelin -> Piercing chance
Throwing Dagger/Axe -> same as non-throwing ones

Bow - small chance of blinding targets. Special arrow types
Crossbow - Piercing shots

Staff -> +mana +mana regen +skill levels
Wand -> faster caster speed

same here : i second "area of effect damage" !! :P

Desocupado wrote almost all of the ideal automods for different weapon-types... cool

hmmm.... :roll: i could not think of other cool stuff right now :lol:

Thanks for the suggestions and especially thank you desocupado, man those are great suggestions, I have one question. How would one go about adding area effect damage to weapons like you suggested?

Do hit-skill effect on the weapon for area effect
