My roomate and I have been trying (and failing) to Mod D2 is ther anywher we can get intructions or any kind of help at all?
we have tried extracting the .txt files from d2data.mpq, editing them and reloading them into Patch_d2.mpq and it still doesnt work we want a drop and boss mod and learn how to make them ourselves .. thanks

 all the tools that are listed are expensive to DL. to me the beuty of making your own mod is not spending any money and having this cool mod you can show off to your friends ehh oh well

The tools in the filecenter are free..

There are two types of signup. One is the GameSpy signup, that one is free. The other is FilePlanet premium service, that is a pay service. When you download a file the links in the upper part are the premium service links. Below that you should see free public servers. Sometimes when you pull up a fileplanet screen you'll see the pay servers and not the free ones---if that happens, try again in a few minutes.
