Ok, many things.

I have done a w32 version of my ds1edit. It's NOT a true windows version with button, menu, and such, it's "just" a win32 console prog that I have made with VC6. Hopefully, it'll works a lot better in w2000 & Nt than the previous ds1edit.exe. For this purpose, I have made a little html page, now when you click on the link "ds1 editor" in my sig, you arrived at a web page. I have made it because I'm not completly sure the windows version works perfectly. I have had to change some code here & there, because while it worked fine with GCC, VC6 made bugs. So, for a while I'll maintain the 2 versions. That was 10 hours to be able to recompile my codes. There were some C implementation problems I prefer not to talked about or I'll become very angry :x

Second, not only there's a "win" version, I have updated it a little. It'll be essentially for NNy I think : On the bottom line, you can see now the prop1 of all the layers of the current cell of your mouse. This prop1 is for the drawing priority of the tiles if you remember, and it was the cause of some bugs NNy encouter, so now he can debuging his ds1 a little. That's for a while, but this might be usefull.

Oh yes, I also start to implement the objects & paths editing. But you can't use it. If you press the TAB key, you change the edit mode, but that do NOTHING, it's in progress. I just said about that TAB key because you might have wonder.

EDIT : I forgot, in the ds1edit.ini there's now a "fullscreen = 1" line. Change that to 0 as it is said, and for the win version you'll have a windowed prog, but it's not really usefull IMO : it's difficult to scroll with the mouse just on the border of the window, and the display is slower too.

So, to all of you that have W2000 & Nt, tell me if the new win_ds1edit.zip version works fine under your OS... or not, thanks.

Nice, it seems to have solved problems. What about windows NT, does the speed of the mousse is still a problem (slow to hell) ?

Half the step to objects editing. Go on my usual "ds1 editor" link in my sig, and get the updated exe you want (in replacment of the one you already have). This version is not finished. You can't edit / save / objects but you can move them. It's late now (ouch, 04:00 am, *really late, time to sleep), so I'll fix the small display bugs today. I just offer you a "toy" for objects for now.

Go in object edit mode (TAB)
you see objects with labels. Labels are the black rectangular "window", the object itself is on the sub-cell.
You can select either the label or the object.
Shift add to the current selection, ctrl remove it
when you have select something, Alt (or AltGr) then click on a selected thing, then you can release the Alt key : you're moving the labels / objects (depending of what you have selected).
ha, it leaves "shadow" when you're moving things.
You CAN'T save your modification, so don't be afraid to play in this mode.

(interecting : select something in tile mode, then do ctrl + c, then without pasting it go in object mode, the selection is "freeze", but still there, and when you'll come back to the tile mode, you'll continue to move the tile selectino. I'm happy it do this, 'cause I didn't expect it

I'll fix all it needs tomorow, and will explain more in details too, but as I said, you can play a bit with objects now. Good night.
